Interim Operational Excellence Expert (m/w/d)
As an Operational Excellence Expert, you will lead initiatives aimed at improving the global productivity of our company by implementing best practices, streamlining processes, and driving efficiency gains across all operational functions. Your expertise will be instrumental in identifying opportunities for improvement, developing and executing strategies, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement to achieve operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operational Assessment: Conduct comprehensive assessments of current operational processes, systems, and workflows to identify areas for improvement and inefficiencies.
- Process Optimization: Develop and implement process improvement initiatives to streamline workflows, eliminate bottlenecks, and reduce waste across all operational functions.
- Lean Six Sigma Methodologies: Apply Lean Six Sigma methodologies and tools to analyze data, identify root causes of operational issues, and implement solutions to drive continuous improvement.
- Performance Metrics: Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure operational performance, track progress against targets, and identify opportunities for enhancement.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, procurement, supply chain, production, and quality assurance, to align operational improvement initiatives with business goals and objectives.
- Change Management: Lead change management efforts to ensure successful adoption and implementation of operational excellence initiatives, providing training, coaching, and support to employees at all levels of the organization.
- Technology Integration: Identify and leverage technology solutions, automation tools, and digital platforms to streamline operations, improve efficiency, and enhance productivity.
- Continuous Improvement Culture: Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the organization, encouraging employees to contribute ideas, share best practices, and participate in improvement initiatives.
- Risk Management: Identify operational risks and develop risk mitigation strategies to minimize disruptions and ensure business continuity.
- Knowledge Sharing: Share best practices, lessons learned, and success stories with stakeholders across the organization, promoting knowledge sharing and cross-functional collaboration.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Operations Management, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Proven experience in operational excellence, process improvement, or related roles, with a track record of driving productivity gains and efficiency improvements in global organizations.
- Strong understanding of Lean Six Sigma methodologies, process optimization techniques, and continuous improvement principles.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills, with the ability to lead complex initiatives and deliver measurable results.
- Effective communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Change management certification (e.g., Prosci) and Lean Six Sigma certification are preferred.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools, project management software, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
